This truly is a habit of mine.

I talked last week about how ‘busy’ could be less than beneficial – it can easily become unproductive. Taking a break could be more of what the mind & body need together to be productive, fresh & even rest better.

An overactive nervous system, often the result of a ‘busy’ mind, is on alert preventing clear thinking disrupting rest & inhibiting full recovery from either work rest or play!

A clear mind allows a centered balanced approach to everything we do.

Wow, I’ve got a lot of work to do before I get to this stage. It sounds so great in theory…

In the same way a muscle needs to be worked receptivity to become strong & retain muscle memory, the mind is just the same. The more practice given to any task will strengthen the mind muscle required to sustain a longer acting ‘balance’ to life.

PS: Last week I enrolled into part time study for 3 months (certificate 4 in training & assessing) & I have to be honest, I’m freaking out!! I’m freaking out about my time commitment & know that I have to maintain my work level, my family balance & assist my kids to get what they need too.

I have a very dear friend who once gave me very sound advice…

“Ellen you have to bit off more than you chew then chew like F**K..!!”

That’s one way to get it done… So I am biting off more than I can chew but I feel good about the opportunity to move forward and to set goals that I can realistically achieve. I’ll be qualified to move into a new area of Pilates instruction – training teachers to teach Pilates.
