#1 TAKING ENOUGH TIME FOR ONESELF IS A TRUE DISCIPLINE:

It does not happen overnight but if you’re consistent with your input it will happen over time.

Let me give you an example;

I have a great range of flexibility now, but it didn’t come naturally to me. In fact it was hard work for me, my flexibility range was poor in my early years of dance.

And then, I decided that I wanted it to be different so I got down to the business of stretching regularly.

As my stretch range got better, I needed to be stronger to support the new long lines I now could reach thanks to my dedication to some extra stretch practice.

It was the consistency of both stretch & strength work that got me to where I am today. Now I’m working on stability cos some of my joints got overworked the wrong way when I was younger..

And when I get my joint stability more under control I will look at the next thing to work on. It may be that I find an activity that challenges me outside of my work place or something as simple as sit & breathe for a bit..
